Shepherd Mother

Elder Velma W. Taylor

Shepherd Mother V. W. Taylor is a native of Albany, Georgia. Born to the late Johnny Will Williams, Sr. and Pastor Florine W. Thomas (Elder Thomas), who raised her in the Apostolic Faith. She is the fourth of ten children. After graduating high school, she continued her education and earned an Associate of Science degree in Allied Health; subsequently pursuing a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse all while remaining in the faith. Shepherd Mother Taylor united in Holy Matrimony to Chief Apostle D. G. Taylor. Sr. who is the pastor and founder of Global Kingdom Ministry, Inc. They have three beautiful children, six grandchildren, and a host of spiritual children.

In ministry, she functions in more than one capacity. One of which is her service as president of the Women’s Ministry Auxiliary where she teaches young women of purity and tutors them in the way of holiness. Correspondingly, Shepherd Mother Taylor coordinates an annual Women’s Retreat for women to come and touch God. She is a firm believer that the attitude and posture of a woman can build or hinder
the development of the virtuous woman. Subsequently, she serves as a Sabbath School teacher in the local assembly, she is the president of the Missionary Department, and a liaison for the Outreach Ministry. In March of 2022, she was ordained as an Elder, where her daily words resonate “ TELL HIM (the Lord) THANK YOU!”

Elder Beverly J. Murray is the fourth of eight children born to the late District Elder
Samuel J. Wilson and the late Evangelist Beverly L. Wilson. After being raised in New
Jersey, she and her family relocated to Albany, Georgia in 1995, where she was
groomed for ministry under the tutelage of Apostle D. G. Taylor, Sr. She has since
obtained a certificate in Business Administrative Specialist, Healthcare Technology
and an Associate degree in Business Administration. She is currently employed as an
Administrative Assistant for the Associate of Science and Nursing Program at
Albany Technical College.
Under the leadership of Apostle D. G. Taylor, Sr., she was appointed as Assistant
Pastor. Elder Murray continues her service as a Sabbath School teacher in the local
assembly as well as an adult and youth Bible Study teacher. She served previously
as an advisor for the Missionary Department, lending her expertise of experience in
ministry. This woman of God is relentless in her press to refine young people in
Ministry. Retrospectively she organized “Tea Time,” to share proper etiquette with
the local assembly youth. This woman of God never fails an opportunity to win
souls through daily witnessing and much prayer. Her endeavor in the faith is, “I
serve at the pleasure of The King.”
