Apostle D.G. Taylor, Sr. hails from the historical town of Eatonville, Florida. He was born to the late Nathanial and Elizabeth Taylor. There, the Apostle was groomed and preserved for the service of the Lord under the tutelage of great men and women of God. Missionary Ruby McClain was a spiritual mother who was strong in faith and gave Apostle Taylor guidance and instructions to maintain him in the faith. She, along with his former pastors, Bishop C. Clark, Bishop J. Mims, and Bishop T. J. Wims gave him directional instruction in how to maintain the faith by providing foundational principles. He was instructed by the Lord in a vision telling him, “Go to Albany, Georgia, there I will bless your seed both spiritually and naturally.” In October 1986, Apostle Taylor relocated to Albany, Georgia for the work of ministry.  While there, he was installed as pastor to Apostolic Church of Jesus, Inc. He soon met the love of his life, Shepherd Mother V. W. Taylor, of whom he has been married to for over 35 years. He has three children, taught in the faith, who assist him in ministry today. He has also been blessed with six precious grandchildren. Since then, he has adopted many spiritual sons to which he is grooming and training for kingdom building.

  Apostle Taylor began to follow the instruction of the Lord to lean and depend on him for all things, that “He and He alone would take care of and provide for him.” The Lord continued to instruct him to the next level in his spiritual life.  In 1996, he established the Temple of Refuge Church of the Lord Jesus of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. He along with his wife have been ministering to men and women for over 20 years through established retreats and conferences.  In 1997, he was reunited with his spiritual father, the late Chief Apostle S. D. James;  who had anointed him in his youth at the tender age of 10.  Apostle Taylor was ordained and affirmed as an Apostle under the headship of Chief Apostle S.D. James.  While there he served as a ‘faithful son and steward’ of the S.D. James Evangelistic Association Inc. and its Evangelistic Pentecostal Churches (Worldwide), Inc.  

  In 2022, Apostle Taylor established Praise, Power, and Deliverance Fellowship Ministries, (PPDFM) Inc., and its two primary churches Global Kingdom Ministry (GKM) – Albany (formerly known as the Temple of Refuge) and GKM – Atlanta.  He has established many other fellowships through evangelism and is yet working by faith for the Kingdom of God.
